Hims & Hers offers GLP-1 injections (compounded semaglutide) for weight loss in 20 states, with eligibility criteria including a BMI of 27 kg/m² or greater and no history of certain medical conditions. They also provide an oral medications program with various kits containing drugs like Bupropion XL, Naltrexone, Metformin, Topiramate, and Vitamin B12, though the program is more expensive compared to similar services.

Our Ratings & Bottom Line Thoughts

While receiving widespread publicity, both positive and negative, our assessment of the Hims & Hers weight loss program is that it is still in the beginning stages of development. In particular, at the time of this article being published, the pricing seems to be much more expensive when paid monthly ($399 instead of the advertised $199) and there seem to be limited options for those who are already on GLP-1 but looking to switch, as evidenced by the only medication dosage per vial being 5mg plus no set pricing for maintenance regimen. Tirzepatide is not available.

Furthermore, while the other added benefits like curated content and habit tracker may make Hims' weight loss program more holistic overall, the pricing and the make-to-scale program structure are reminiscent of Calibrate's $199 monthly weight loss program which only covers doctor's fee and not medication or lab tests (though Hims' program does include the compounded medications).
